Başak Cankeş used Afgan and Uzbek artisan craftmanship with modern silks and Cinderella tulles for her new collection. She calls “Golden age of Tradition” for her new collection. It is about immigration of an Afgan woman to Europe who tries to connect her original traditional cloths with European fabrics and modernism.
Cankes uses root dye and organic fabrics of Afgan culture with modern tulles and machine made fabrics.
