The quilts that are designed as a part of Entrada De Gala En El Haren collection, were presented at Contemporary Istanbul.
Cankes, who was the only fashion designer participating in Contemporary Istanbul, adapted and reflected Salvador Dali’s surrealism into Turkish Miniature Art with 5 surrealist pieces. These were then imprinted onto silk fabrics and were used to make handmade Turkish quilts.

Following her participation at Contemporary Istanbul 2016, Basak Cankes participated again in 2017 as an artist of Gallery Baraz with her paintings called ‘’Growing’’ prepared by mixed technique and made as a part of her Ballerina’s Hidden Dream collection.
